Danny is starting his first season for Platform Elite and he’s an assistant coach for 16u or 17u.
Danny is a member of USA Deaf Men’s Indoor Volleyball team of 2010-2013 and plays defense specialist, libero, and outside hitter. He just recently played in an international tournament called Friendship Games (played against Russia, Ukraine and Venezuela) last August at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC and his team and he got in third place by made an unexpected huge upset victory against Venezuela in the playoffs. Danny will be planning to go with the USA team to play in USA Open tournament at Salt Lake City, Utah next May then go to Sao Paulo, Brazil for Pan Am Deaf Games next June and expects to be in top three to be qualified for 2013 Deaflympics in Hungary. He has been building more volleyball experience by play in a couple of sand leagues and grass tournaments in the Quad Cities since 2005, play EVP Tour 2’s beach tournaments in Chicago during the summer and was on the Quad Cities indoor volleyball club for a season. Danny is always involved in a deaf tournament (high schools/colleges that has a deaf program) as a referee every year at Harper Community College in Palatine, IL.
Attended National Technical Institute for the Deaf/Rochester Institute of Technology (NTID/RIT) in Rochester, New York and graduated with a degree in Applied Computer Technology. He was on a high school soccer team for 4 years and earned an all-conference academic in his senior year for Moline.
Whenever Danny gets the chance with his free time, he loves to watch movies and play poker.
